Over the holiday weekend the co-founder of OnePlus let us know that he would be sending out Beta builds of Nougat to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T units. Of course owners of the phone were not satisfied with Beta builds, as stable builds were promised by the end of 2016. A few hours after the beta announcement Carl Pei announced OnePlus would indeed also be releasing Stable builds on the same day as the beta builds? Technically OnePlus was able to make good on their promise. They started the slow rollout to devices on 12/31.
The update includes a new notifications design, new settings menu, multi-window view, notification direct reply, and custom DPI support. As the official stable Nougat update takes its time to update you can actually start using the build right now. All you have to do is manually install the ota.zip.
