overheating issue

Thanks... I put the battery by the ac an hour ago. Just from being on this site for the past hour the temp is now 110.. lol well ill go back one more time try n be nice n see what happens. If not ill call Verizon

What are you using to display the temp? I was suggesting the app issue just so you wouldn't be in the same boat with a replacement. App conflicts can make these things do some really crazy stuff!

Some free app called batteryminder.. seems accurate cause as soon as the temp read 120 the phone was hooked up to the charger started blinking Orange then green wouldn't charge n ended up shutting off.

Were you having the issue before you installed that app? It struck me as odd that it would need access to phone calls and prevent your phone from sleeping..

Yeah I installed the app after all this stArted.. got the app just to see temps.. what does preventing phone from sleeping mean? Dont really know that much about these things.

It means that your phone keeps working even when its in "standby". DEF slowed my browser down though. Going by the comments, alot of people are having issues with that app. Always read the comments and pay attention to what the app has access to. Sounds like your phone to me.

Ok..ill get rid of theapp. It did this before and after I got the app. If its going to slow my phone down the app is gone. Thanks

All I can tell you is from personal experience....... I had my last one replaced because navigation would make it overheat to the point of shutdown..... they can not deny your claim, and if they do just smash the piece of sh#$, and get a new one. After mine overheated a couple of times it no longer got 3G or wifi for some reason.

BTW..... I wouldn't divulge any personal info to anyone online, as you may have with the guy claiming to be a rep.

Spare Parts is a good one. Can also use it to check the amount of charge on your battery.
