Gingerbread overheating

I am currently running the new gingerbread ota. Everything has been fine (its smooth and fairly fast), but I am having one problem. My phone is overheating to an alarming degree. It will get very warm and then shut off. Anyone else having this issue?

It's running hot, but shouldn't be that hot.

That's what I was thinking but its never had random reboots like that... and its alarmingly hot. Its very worrisome.

same issue here! D2 but also the battery won't hold a charge. runs super fast when plugged in and doesnt run to hot. but as soon as I pull the plug it stays on like 2 min heats up way to hot and dies. then have to plug back in.
Fixes I tried. Quick Clock set to Bat saver/ Bat calibration when i installed rom/ wipe bat stat from clockwork. Any ideas?
