I think this is the most likely answer too. For the record, I wasn't debating when I first raised the question. I was just raising the question.

Flashed leaked 57893. Went back to stock, OTA installed fine.

No need for MD5... I did a FC from command prompt in windows before when I posted the two files (one linked in this thread) and the 5.5.893 I downloaded a while back and they are identical. Can you compare the md 5 sums of the 2? There is an md 5 checker in the market

Just to confirm, you installed the leaked updated version 5.7.893, received an OTA update, and it installed?
All,
I haven't kept up with what has been going on with the leaked updates. I rooted my Bionic, but left it more or less stock. I did use Titanium Backup to remove some bloat. So far I have not been offered the chance to update, and I haven't checked for it. My questions are
1. Will I be able to update OTA?
2. Will I keep root?
3. If not, can I re-root?
I would just as soon stick with what has been released, even though I root. I haven't been able to determine from the conversation in this thread whether this has been answered.
I have been trying to figure this out all night. Anyone know?

1) The early reviews are that you can't update unless you unfreeze bloat (though I'm not sure if this is confirmed)
2) If you use the 4everroot that is posted here :R3L3AS3DRoot and 43V3R root for the BIONIC v2.1 you will keep root
3) If you don't have root going into the update, you can still root with this method, and has been done already.
