Original Droid - WiFi Will Not Turn On (Error)

I was previously running CyanogenMod 7 on my Droid 1 but I flashed it back to the original factory ROM. Everything is working fine except the Wifi. When I turn on Wifi I get an error then nothing happens. The error occurs as soon as I press the "Turn On Wifi" in the "Wireless and Network Settings". Does anyone know what the deal is?

The WiFi was working just fine before I flashed back to the factory ROM. All help is appreciated.

Did you sbf back or just flash a rooted rom? Either way, I would repeat the steps you took and see if that doesnt help.

"sbf"? Sorry, but I do not know what this is.

I used clockworkmod to find the back ROM that I made before originally flashing to CM7. I was in a rush so I simply selected the zip file and reinstalled the ROM. Should I have done something different?

I would have wiped everything before applying the backup. You could still do that. Just go into recovery and wipe then apply the backup.
