Original Droid screen went blank!!

I dropped my droid no more than a mere 6 inches onto a rug and the screen went black. Its weird though because the "touch" response still works, but the screen is black. I tried pulling my battery but nothing works.

Were you able to get it back on? This happened to mine as well, although it was about its fourth trip onto a concrete floor. I was never able to revive it (and actually just posted about trying to erase everything on it)
