Original Droid says that the SD card is not present

I recently formatted my SD card on my original Droid. The phone is rooted and I have Chevy1 SS rom running. I did a completed wipe in Clockwork Recovery and installed the ROM. Now the phone is saying there is no SD card. It recognizes the SD card in recovery. I can tell it to install the ROM off of the SD card. I can mount it as USB storage and transfer files in recovery, but it still says no SD card when I boot up the phone. I copied all the Android required files off another Droid and put them onto this SD card to no evail. In other words, the SD card works everywhere but when the phone boots up. I have even tried other SD cards but still not working. Any ideas?
