Original Droid -> Droid 3

I currently have the original moto Droid dancedroid and I love it, ive also been frustrated with it because it can also be very slow at times.
But anyway I was thinking about getting the Droid 3 can anyone tell me the differences between them, and if this would be a better choice over the VZ iPhone?
(I would never get an iPhone:blackdroid just some tech specs between them would be fine and what do people think about the Droid pro, I would like something with a keyboard, (MUCH EASIER TO WALK AND TEXT!!! for me lol)

The droid 3 is said to have a dual core processor, 4 inch screen, HDMI out, and a 5 row keyboard. The new row on the keyboard is going to be a dedicated row for numbers. It is said to only have 512Mb of memory though.
