And it Begins......
Because I got a 1 year extension vs a two year. Got the Droid in November so I'm eligible for upgrade 9/9. I had to pay more money for my upgrade last year because it was a real early upgrade.I ordered the Incredible for my wife on Saturday and it got here yesterday, that plus the news of Root on the D2 is really making me itch for a new phone, I played with the D2 in the VZW store and the upgraded physical keyboard is heavenly, a much needed improvement...congrats Hook, I look forward to hearing your impressions of it
I'm not itching to root it just yet. That may take a while, I figure a month, but with the amount of peer pressure I get in here I'll be lucky if i last a week.
While I'm waiting on it I can do some research on how to root it.
It will be interesting to see how my apps come back to me. This will make my fourth smart phone in 2 years.
BTW my upgrade date was 9/9 and I just asked if they would be kind enough to push it up for me and they said since I was a good customer, yaddy yah yah, it wouldn't be an issue. So I didn't pay anything above the 199 plus tax.
If you're thinking about an early upgrade and you are within striking distance give them a call.
If you have a Droid 1 how is it your up for a upgrade on 9/9?

So it does. I have one important question and anyone who Knowles the answer feel free to answer. How do I keep all my stuff from Home Run Battle 3D? Can I just pull the file off the SD card on to my computer And drop it on the new SD card? I don't think its a good idea to just pull.the SD card off my rooted Droid and put it in the Droid 2.
Any thoughts on that is appreciated. I've upgraded Blackberry before with DM. This is different so maybe somebody who's done it can comment. Right now i feel like a total n00b.

Hey hook did you order your D2 on the verizon website? I ordered mine yesterday because my D1 is pretty much screwed. Should be here tomorrow. Also, if you did order it on their website, did you use the WEBCH10 code? It gives you a 10% discount, so you'll save $20.
Because I was not eligible for upgrade I ordered it directly over the phone. I had to get them to ok me for an early upgrade.
It's due to arrive on Monday,not Tuesday as I previously thought so I'll be looking forward to it.
Droid 2 Commercials
While I'm sitting here not so patiently waiting for my D2 to arrive sometime before 7:00 pm tomorrow I have to suffer through the Droid 2 commercials they are now showing on television.
If that thing doesn't show up until 7:00 pm tomorrow I'm going to be a little ticked off, and up very late.

lol, what really happened was I've seen 3 Droid 2 commercials in the past 24 hours. Droid 3 isn't quite ready yet, no.
The last 24 hours is always the most Grueling

Yep, I've taken my shower and I have cleared the day to be here. Crap, it's already past 9:35 am. I've had them show up as early as 9:30 am.
Verizon really should release something for you to put on the door to sign for your delivery. That's what Mac does, if you ask them they will send you a special form to fill out so the driver can just leave your equipment at the door. I understand the need to do this maybe in big cities but I live in a rural area.
