One-less Symbian Phone Maker, This Time Its Samsung

I guess the Android love is spreading to the world so fast that major phone makers are dropping alternative operational systems faster than that new Bugatti Vayron. Samsung, the third largest phone manufacturer just this week announced that they will stop support for Symbian and put their resources all in the Android basket. This change will definitely kill most of Symbian's market share, but Android users can see this as the best news of the day.

This means that you can now know that Samsung along with Sony-Ericsson, who also dropped Symbian this week, will be working over time on bring you something you have yet to see.

Doesn't this sound like a good thing to you?

id like to see now how close android is trailing iphone now since that chart is from feb. back in feb droid was king but now there is the incredible, evo, droid2, x, and the galaxy s phones

i guess this means samsung now will be along with motorola and htc in bringing new phones out constantly

I REALLY REALLY enjoy your work. I'm worried you'll get snatched up by a big-boy tech site and we'll lose you. And YOUR occasional typos always make me smile (sorry, I grade college papers so my eye is trained to spot them!). The OS one was a work of art.

Lol, well glad I can put a smile on your face on occasions.

And I was going to start working with Androidcommunity this week, but after I received an email from the owner asking me why I did not start yet (even though I had to get used to the way they write and all) and how he kept asking as the day went by... I said, no, I don't want to work for them and quite before starting.

So don't worry, big-boy sites are trying, but I won't leave...

If Samsung is fully dedicating to the android devices, that they don't put the qwerty keyboards in the front of the phone instead of the side like the droid does. But as I admitted the other day, I am addicted to the line of droids by Motorola, so they'll have to come out with something amazing for me to take a second glance.

Yes gadgetrants I have. And it does have some good specs but what the prospective devices coming soon to the droid devices and their estimated specs have me salivating at the mouth.
