OMG...we don't need an update?

Droid locks up at least once a day. Just now it took about two minutes of thinking the phone was completely dead before it finally woke up.

Now the button icons are not lit.Which is something we all want at night and can't get, yet now when i need them, they're dark.

This Droid is a beta device at best and I am pissed. It feels like something Microsoft would put out.

That isn't normal of a Droid, seriously!

That's what your 30 day return window is for. If you don't like the phone, you should return it and find a different one that fits your needs.

You might want to take it and exchange it, my whole family has Droid's and none of us have those problems...

:work1: Grab a storm2 or an omnia.. If you want help the forum is here. If you want to burn about the problems with the phone its your right but then you will probably catch heat. And 2.1 is not gonna be a fix all solution just like 2.01 wasnt.

Never had these problems that weren't caused by doing something myself.

I don't think 2.1 will fix these issues..

to the OP ......Im done bashing and I am ready to help. What apps or widgets are you running.

This phone has *amazing* battery life. I've never had it lock up on me. I've never had to pull the battery. I can chat on ebuddy and surf the web non-stop on 3G for 2.5 hours while ending up at 80% battery. For a screen as bright/sharp as the Droids? - Wow. This phone is the best phone I've ever used.

Now, I don't install every damn app that comes out. I research the app a lot before putting it on my phone. Just like I wouldn't put **** tires on my car. If there's trash in my car, I clean it up (uninstall unused apps). You install 500 programs on Windows and it will take forever to boot, run slow but it isn't Windows fault.

Lets trade phones, because I sure don't see what you see.

I've had my phone reboot multiple times, apps crash, battery die in 3 hours pulled the battery at least 10 times since I've bought it.

Don't get me wrong, I can live with it, but I sure don't see what you see. I believe you, too, because other people say the same thing.

So, what I'm wondering is what is this HUGE disconnect out there? Why are people having such a wide range of different experiences? Obviously, something somewhere is screwy.

I'm thinking it could be apps. I'm going to uninstall GDE and run my phone without it for a week. That'll give me something to do. I'll report back.

Home replacement apps to me are like Anti-virus on a PC...usually look to them as the #1 cause of all problems.

The only home replacement app I would consider is Home++ and only if they fix the little launcher strip.

It shouldn't really be the cause of your battery dying though.
