I noticed the same thing but to be honest, I really didn't use it much. If I wanted to look for a contact in my corporate email, I just started to type the last name of the person I was trying to email and pulled it from there. I did concerned at first though when the Corporate Directory app icon turned into a system icon right after I updated though.

I went in and grabbed 2.2. All seemed to be going well until I got stuck on the Motorola M at the boot process. I remembered I had the update.zip file on the card from when I had my D1 so I pulled the card and battery, erased the update.zip file, reinstalled the card and battery and restarted the phone. HELLO 2.2...Nice to see you. dancedroid

How did you get the update.zip off the card if you were stuck on the M screen. I think that might be the problem I am having...

I had a micro SD adapter that allowed me to take the card from the phone, put it into the adapter and slide it into my laptop card reader. I then went to that location and deleted the file, removed the Micros SD card, put it back into the phone, put the battery back in and powered up.

Video Playback issues Droid X

Anyone having video playback issues? I had sync issues and choppiness with 2.1, not solved with 2.2 update. Tested playback and swapped media card with friend who does not have any issues with playback. Are there two versions of the X out there???

I am able to pull up the corporate directory results by using the contacts search now. In the past that didn't look into my copoprate directory, but now it does. I see that as an improvement to only have to go to one place now. Still, I was suprised to see it go.

I just discovered that the player won't play MP3 and M4A audio files after the 2.2 update. This wasn't a problem before the update. I also had used a small MP3 file for my ringtone, and that isn't working either. I'm in the process of investigating this, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I shut it down, pulled the battery out, put it back in & restarted. It plays the sound files OK now.

I updated my phone this morning and the download went fine. Once it finished downloading, I pressed Install Now. It shows the droid and the box and a yellow progress bar. It finally finishes installing and reboots. Yet it never gets any farther than the Motorola Icon and gets stuck there forever. I did a system restore and restarted the phone and it still gets to the icon. I have tried taking out the battery and everything else that I can think of and nothing works. I can't get it to go back to the system restore screen anymore now. I hold down the Home button and held down the Power button and tried other methods and can't get it to show up.

Mine did that last night, finally 8 hours later it booted up.

You may have a previous update.zip file on the SD card that you need to remove - that was my issue. Try removing the SD card and using and adapter to hook it to your computer and remove any file that says update.zip. Then reinsert card and power up. Should work.

2.2 Contacts with random pictures

When I downloaded 2.2 this morning when I go to put a contact on one of the home screens, it gives me the right contact but puts up a random picture with that contact. Anyone got a work around solution.

What's with the order of text messages? In 2.1 the newest unread was at the top, now it's in some weird ass order that I can't figure out. Looks almost like it sorts the latest convos that I sent a message at the very top then all the new incomings beneath those? wtfbbqsauce?

please fix this!!! this is truly annoying. why sort text messages out of sequence?

Short of removing security, I am in an online chat with Motorola for a fix I hope?

I'm about 2 steps away from doing a hard reset just to get rid of this...

the issue is with the Droid X 2.2 and also the Droid 2 (with 2.2) ... they are dont like some routers. Motorola says to remove security. I will try some resets on the router later.

My Droid 1 reset my Belkin all the time. Then tried a Netgear and it wouldn't keep a connection with my ipad (can I say that here ). Finally ended up with a Cisco e3000 and everything is fine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed with froyo but I was connecting at 10 mps last nite on wifi.

So I just finished installing 2.2 do I need to do anything to get flash to work and what's a good website to test if its working?

Just go over to one of the network sites, like FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS. Take a look at some shows there.

Market Error - Froyo 2.2 Update

I just updated to Froyo 2.2 and now my market isnt working. I get this when I try to open Market: "Attention! An error has occurred. Please try again later."

Any advice on what to do? Just try again later?
