Notifications stuck on vibrate

I've been lurking in the forums trying to figure out what in the world could possibly be wrong with my Droid. I'm stuck. Maybe one of you have had the same issue and/or know how to fix it. When I receive a text, the Droid vibrates. That's all fine and dandy, but it refuses to play any ringtone. I've checked every possible setting I can think of, but I haven't been successful. I've tried taking out the battery, as well. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Did you check the settings that are located in the Messaging app? Not the ones in the main Settings of the phone, but actually in the Messaging app...

Or if you're using Handcent, it has it's own settings in the app also

The one place I hadn't checked was the settings in the actual messsaging app. It wasn't on silent, but there was no ringtone selected. Problem solved. Thank you so much!
