Notifications Not Working After JB Update

My Galaxy S3 sometimes goes off for text messages but then a lot of times, I will get the popup. No vibrate or sound. There are no third-party texting apps installed. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes I dont like my notifications. I cant tell when I have a message sometimes. Can you do a popup on this phone?
