Not happy with verizon and this new ship date...

So I orderded my droid 7-15 on launch date I still have no received my phone so i decided to call and no they tell me my new tentative ship date is 8-3 how the hell is that possible??? Is anyone having the same issues??

The only reason I can figure is that there was alot of pre orders (alot before July 15th) for the X and they sold out FAST!......and they are waiting for a shipment to come in...

I am sure there are alot of people in the same boat as you. They can;t ship what they don't have.

The only thing to do is wait or search for a local dealer that has one.......

yea thats all fine the fact that it changes from immediate to 7-23 to 7-27 and now to 8-3 thats my concern

Its called be patient. Yes we all know you want your phone now but hey atleast you will have your phone in about 2 weeks while Incredible owners are still waiting for their phones.

Supply and demand. I know you're pointing the finger at Verizon, I don't know who's fault it is. Maybe Motorola didn't meet production.

In any case I don't fault you for being upset, I would be too.

Well as bill said who knows who it to blame but chances are Motorola told Verizon the shipment will hit their warehouse one day. And Verizon makes the announcement then a week later Moto comes back and says we wont have your order ready till this day now and then Verizon pushes the day back again cause they cant sell or ship what they don't have. And hell maybe its not Motorola's fault either, maybe they are waiting for parts from one of their suppliers. So there are so many things going on that if one person or company is late with an order then everything gets pushed back

Would you rather them say you'll get your Droid X when we send it to you within the next 6 months or its going to ship on this day, well opps it got pushed back so now its this day. And you atleast still know your time frame

Not trying to pour salt on the wound, but I ordered mine on the 15th as well, at around 11:00am, and it shipped yesterday. It's out for delivery right now, just waiting for it. If they told me that I have to wait until 8/3, I'd cancel the order and I'd try to find it at a Verizon store, a Walmart or something... I'm reading people are still finding them at stores...

Many people want a Droid X. Motorola can't make them fast enough. What do you want Verizon to do? The only thing possible would have been push back the launch date so Moto could deliver a larger stock to help with demand.. but in that event you wouldn't have your phone now either.

Whats sad (well not for me) is that I ordered mine online on launch day at 4:30pm and received it yesterday at 1pm.....
