not charging?

This is weird. So I got this devour back in may. It has been working great but for about 3 months now I have been having issues charging my phone. When I plug my phone into the wall it goes to the settings that pop up when you plug it into a computer and it WILL NOT charge. I have tried other chargers. I have tried each setting for the comp. settings but I get nothing. It takes about an hour of me plugging and unplugging my phone for it to finally start charging . And when it goes to computer settings my battery life goes from 20% to 0% in one second. I am getting sick and tired of it. Am I doing something wrong or do I need a new phone?

while the phone is on and working fine, have you pulled the battery out? sometimes that can solve some of the minor things with the phone. my problem is that the itty bitty rubber piece on the bottom of the charge port just broke off, and now the charger does not stay in there snug
