Noob question about OTA update

Hello,

This will be my first time ever rooting a phone and I would like to get it right the first time around.

My question is, I decided this morning to root my phone but I took the new update on my phone yesterday. Can I still root my phone using the current methods or do I have to wait for something else to come out?

Yes and pretty easy to do, follow these instructions, I have even seen a few videos around to help. It looks kind of intimidating at first but really is pretty easy just give yourself time to do it and dont rush

PS... if possible try and stay away from the easy or one click roots, i didnt have any luck with them, not saying they are bad it just didnt stick for me
