Noob question about Kernels..

I am currently isntalling the Jt1134 superclean rom on my SF.. this is my first rom that I have isntalled on my phone and other than a 3g fix I haven't installed anything else. I used rom manager to download this rom and I also selected a few options (BL for keys, circle battery, etc...). Will this automatically install a new kernel or is that something I need to download seperate?

You will have to choose to install a new kernel if you want to install a new kernel. I believe with JT's superclean it comes with the stock kernel.

Is it hard to go back to the stock kernel? Also can any kernel work with any rom?

No it's not hard to go back to stock kernel, you just have to find it or just reflash with stock rom. I believe we only have two kinds of kernels for the Fascinate right now but different kernels will work for different ROMs. Research first and you'll be golden
