No zoom camera and muted calls

Is anyone else unable to zoom on the stock camera app? Or getting calls where you can't hear the other person and the other person can't hear you? It's completely muted, not even any beeps, although I suspect it may be because I unplug my earphones before answering or something. A reboot puts everything back to normal.

You have no Zoom function using the side buttons of the phone?

I have no real idea on the Muting Issue as I have never experienced it...

Your saying that 'volume down' zooms out but that 'volume up' does nothing? do you get the beep?
