Hi, it's like when I started programming in PHP, I was not sure of what it was about! Same here!

I have a bunch of Google web applications and needed to reset my Gmail password, from the web side it was painless and works fine.

Now my Droid2 cannot communicate with Gmail, I have a notification to reset my password, but when I try two or three times it goes in Kaptcha authentication mode, from there it's hell, I tried over 60 times to enter the correct group of letters but it always refusing it, and of course is back in Kaptcha mode.

I tried to rem the battery, let it rest and do it again to no avail.

Tried to power it off, it gives me the password field but it still refuses it.

Any idea on how it will recognize the new Gmail PW?
Should I use a sledge hammer, or clean the whole thing, call it a lost on every setings and saved items and restart it fresh?

I hate the idea of resetting the whole system.
by advance thanks for any input.

I reset my password for my google account but I can't find the location to reset the password on my Droid. I do not want to reset the whole phone, but my search for topics on this forum bring up only that answer. Is that the only way?

I feel your pain!
No there is another way which is the best one and mentioned in other places
However I was not successful with it.
Assuming you have reset a G password and verified that Gmail was fine.

To be on the safe side power down the Droid, then turn it back on
you should have a notification alert regarding that Google problem
open it
it will ask you fill in the Kaptcha -BE VERY careful- in doing it as if you miss it more than just a few times you will be facing the factory reset as I had to
good luck
keep us posted

Yes, it's another option, forgot mentionning it.
the techs at Verizon tried it too, but again to no avail
I assume that after a number of trials to enter your PW Droid freezes forever!
As I said I only assume, but it has been my route.
