Someone will let us know, either an anonymous soak tester or one of the many with connections. It's all a game, if VZW can let us know indirectly then they will, just to build hype.

Yeah, most likely, I think ICS not being out yet is more hyped than phone ever was :)

Remember what vzw said about the razr??

There'll be no soak test for ics.....so everybody that got an email was ticked... then there was a soak test. :what:

My point is that you never know, because it seems like vzw and moto don't..lol

It certainly does seem that they are getting more and more difficult to predict. There does not seem to be a standard procedure anymore.

It's also possible that with the massive Google workforce, they could do a soak test internally with enough users.

Doubtful. They want to test it "in the field" using "volunteers". More of a wide sample group more possibility of.finding a problem and less of a liability. Lol

Right. Part of the test is the ability for the average person (aka "The Great Unwashed") to receive it OTA. No forum, no manual install.

The soak will likely be next week... Probably later in the week. No idea if they'll do for us what they did not the D4 which was to soak/ota on the same day.

So if you personally were running the 232 leak, what path would you take to the OTA? I can go to 242 right now but it does not seem like the thing to do from what I hear from you. Should I go back to 905 or wait for the path from 232 to OTA with your HoB script? Sorry if this is a bit redundant, but I like to be clear in my own mind.

As I understand it, if you are on .232, the best thing for you to do is to go back to .905 when the OTA comes. Even if you wanted to go from .232 to .242 I believe you'd have to go back to .905 anyway as the .242 leak has you start from there.

I've discussed this before. Those on 232 have 2 options. First is to FXZ back to 905. DO NOT attempt to keep any data around if you do this. Once back on 905, you can take the OTA. The other option is to move from 232 to 242. If you've been waiting for the OTA, I'd at LEAST wait for the soak before jumping to 242. But this will allow you to go from 232 to 242 with no data loss. Piece of cake. :) Many people have done it successfully.

This is inaccurate. The whole point of my House of Bionic is to move from one update to another with no data loss.
