No Pattern lock option on my phone

Need help!!! Unable to use my stock PATTERN to unlock my phone. It tells me that it is "remotely disabled by phone administrator"...any idea how this happened? Yes my phone is rooted...

None at all. I was just using the stock pattern lock. Just all of a sudden, it ask me to punch in a 4 digit password...

When i go into settings, the pattern lock option is grayed out...

Yes I'm using an email exchange account from work. Been using it for for 3months with no issues..

That sounds like it was set by your work admin. Most work Exchange access requires that remote devices comply with corporate IT security policies. It is pretty well standard that a half-decent IT policy would not use the pattern, but rather require a PIN. Sounds like your IT department changed their policies and didn't bother to tell you. Consider yourself lucky, my employer didn't even permit PINs until recently; we had to use full passwords with one at least one capital and one number and/or special character. What a pain...

P.S. Be sure to back up your data. If/when your IT group remote wipes your phone it will likely wipe the entire thing, not just the Exchange email account.
