ICS and jb lock screens

OK I'm confused. The ICS lock screen with the 4 shortcuts disappears when you add pattern for security? I want both, I want a securely locked phone as well. Is this possible ?

Maybe with an app like widget locker. But I don't think its possible.

With stock; no, its either one or the other. I am not sure you can have two lockscreens even with a third party app. But give Widgetlocker a go, GoLocker as well, two good lockscreen apps.
