first (and only) "smart" phone (droidx). here because i lost internet connection. never happened before. looking for a place to view "basic settings" to ensure i didn't screw something up. guess i'll be checking forum post history to see if there's info already posted. maybe i'll learn something as a by-product; that'd be ok. dcj

did you just happen to drop connection?

You can try dialing *228 to update your phone to the tower.

Then there's the standard air plane mode or restarting your phone?

Nvm I see I lost that race.

Nope, no "duh" at all. Your phone is supposed to stay connected to a tower, but guess it "hiccuped" so you just needed to perform the update. Now if it happens more often then that could mean another problem...You should be fine though:)

That seemed weird, but I guess it's common, huh? Like I said; never happened before. Shut it off and restarted twice. Thought about pulling the battery...decided to ck for a forum first. Glad I did. I'll ck Dezy's sig link.

I wouldn't really say it's common, but it can happen. When I had my Incredible I did *228 every 3 months or so just in case.
