Hi guys,

I got my Samsung Galaxy SIII today and want to have my google account (calendar) to sync automatically.
But I don't have an account and sync option in the settings, I only have accounts, in which I can choose Google and then synchronize manually.
How can I get the account and sync option in the settings?

Hope someone can help me!

In the settings under personal should be the accounts and sync. Don't understand why its not there on your device. I know that's no help but I'm curious.

Hi,

I had the same problem with my S3 but another website helped me out.

Settings -> Data Usage -> Menu Key -> Auto Sync Data.

Hope that helps,

The manual must be for an older version of Android. I just got a new S3 and changed the Homescreen mode under device settings to Starter Mode.
When you swipe the display screen, the top right icon next to the settings icon shows 4 squares.
When you tap that, you get a bunch of choices including sync that can be turned on or off.
