Camera may be better but the gallery app is pretty broken for me. Try to play a video that you had already recorded with your video camera. Every one I play only plays for a second or two then the video pauses while the audio continues. Does it every time. Went to play a downloaded video and it worked fine...well for about 3:48 seconds then with 10 seconds left it froze and force closed.

Few more shots. Although the pictures are still noisy when blown up, the colors seem to have gotten a lot better. Before, the sky would look almost purple. The pool shot is very dark because I was standing in the shade and took a picture in the BRIGHT 100 degree sun, so it made everything look dark.

Overall I'm VERY pleased with the Droid camera now. Definitely no point and shoot, but this newest froyo build made it 100x better. Keeps focus and better colors = awesome

Hey! Can we all come over for a pool party? And, dude...you really need to clean your car. I don't think that is noise in those pics...it's dirt! LOL

So...can you take a low light picture and then one that requires the flash? I'd like to see if they fixed the ISO.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but had this happen to me just once. Rebooted the phone and the problem went away. Not sure if you tried that yet.

I'm excited to try out the new camera but might wait until it hits a version of Bugless Beast.

My lens is VERY dirty again (fingerprints) and I don't have time to clean it, so I just took a couple quick shots.

Very low light, flash turned off.

I'm pretty disappointed in this version. I use my camera for work, primarily taking pics of headstones. (I own a monument business, I'm not some kind if wierdo...) anyhow, a lot of my work has to be crystal clear, I never know what pics I'm going to have to enlarge.
On my non rooted mo droid, I use 3 camera apps. Stock, camera fx, and pro paint.
at first glance, all the pics look great. But to test their "enlargability" I use big picture viewer (great alternative app on the market) and zoom in 2 levels. I used to be able to very clearly see every variation in the surface of the granite, now they just get blurry the closer I get. Since this holds true over 3 different camera apps, I can only assume it is a timing issue with the autofocus itself. If anyone has a suggestion for a fix id love to hear it.

Oh, and for the person, you know you're out there, who says "this is a phone, not a camera," I say this;
Verizon makes "phones," and they usually are less than 20 bucks, if not free and they do a great job at making and receiving calls. But when I spend 300 bucks on a device advertised in part for its "stunning 5 megapixel camera, I tend to expect a bit more. Coupled with the fact I've seen it work great right up until this upgrade, I really wish there was a way to fix this issue, or dump froyo, and go back to 2.1.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Mark
