Ok all! Finally got my replacement droidx switching from a fascinate and am ready to mess around with my phone. Lay it on me for rooting or anything like that. What'd the best?

Too easy...I know you came from a Fascinate, but there is a ton of good info here in this thread--->New To Android? DROID X USERS CHECK THIS OUT!

Once you get done with hat, just look through the threads in the DX forum here...plenty to read and learn, and if you have questions, try the Search Feature, and if that doesnt help, just start a new thread...

So I am kind of looking for something that is this simple

this is what i did to root my eris when i had it....isnt there a way to root that is simple like that?

ok found an easy link and step by step instruction at the Droid X Forum website...so I am officially rooted.....now what!? lol

If this is the guide you used, then you have everything you need there:

RoOoLeR's Guide ROOT / UNROOT / BACKUP / ROM / SBF / OVERCLOCK

Install Clockwork Mod Recovery. Make a Backup!!!

Install Titanium Backup. Make a backup!!!

Hana yes I notice the theme...
Its rooted I guess now everyone backs a certain rom or launcher or whatever...I feel so overwhelmed and don't know what to do next
