Newbie Gingerbread Question

Let me start by saying that I know nothing! (Although I have learned much by lurking.)

Anyhow, last night I downloaded Gingerbread....at least I assume that's what it was. Love the speed! However, my droid keeps rebooting.

Suggestions?

Phone up time: 106 hours 03 minutes 10 seconds at the moment.

No reboots. Previous uptime was around 86 hours, then I had to pull the battery to replace my SIM card.

I really don't know what you guys are doing to your phones.

Seriously? What are you doing with your phone?

That's not battery life by the way. Uptime is how long the OS has been running without reboots.

I'm not doing anything particular. Occasional web browsing, social networks (G+, Twitter), Endomondo, Maps. Music and sometimes video playback. Plus WoW Armory, Shazam, and stuff.

No reboots whatsoever, and no performance issues as well.

Oh, no! Seriously? Is this going to be an ongoing problem?

I've been surfing Droid X & Droid 3 forums and both of these Moto Gingerbread phones have issues with random reboots. On the Droid X, clearing the system cache partition may help. On the Droid 3, removing all saved WIFI connections and re-adding them may help. You could try those things on your D2G, but who knows if it would help? I wonder if you have any odd apps installed...antivirus, automated task killers, apps that require root. Try uninstalling them. Worst case, do a factory reset and slowly re-add apps until you find a culprit.

Use the built in one, or put that task killer on manual. I can get uptime usually around 200+ hours before it reboots, if I decide to leave it on. Here's something funny though, on CM.
Uptime on Droid 1 (this is testament to how stable CyanogenMod is): 1101 hours, 22 minutes, and 47 seconds. How's that for stable?

I would be ecstatic!

Here's hoping the uninstall of task killer resolves issue.

Also had a bit of trouble with docs to go....the tab button for paragraphs stopped working and instead started indenting the whole stupid paragraph. I found a way to fix, but it was another annoyance I didn't need.

Damn, you have mine beat... its only up to 286 hrs and thats because the battery died.... after like 15 days?

I have random reboots too on .607 but thats probably more due to my tweaking than anything else. I'm rather impressed with .607 after the dismal failure than 2.4.330 was.
