srry stupid question about gingerbread

I know this is probably a stupid question but if I am on wifi will I get the 4.5.607 gingerbread update pushed to my phone or even be able to download it manually for that matter or do I have to be on 3G?

Updates can be performed through all sorts of Internet connections, be it 3G or Wifi.

Thanks I just want to make sure I can get it as son as possible seeing as I don't like to play around with roms etc
