Hi all...
I'm new to droid... was addicted to crackberry while dreaming about verizon getting the iphone. Is it just me or is the droid x really this awesome?
I've run in to a few things I'm trying to learn more about. Really looking for a way to stop my contacts from syncing to facebook and twitter and if there's a way to reverse this action.

I was in the same boat. Forced to use a crappy curve on my office exchange server. Once they told us we could get an android device it was as though the clouds parted. :)

So tell me Future Boy, who's President of The United States in 1985?

How necessary is virus protection such as lookout? What I've read is that task killers and virus protection are good for draining batteries but not much more...?

I dunno about the virus protection, I don't use one. However task killer apps are the best. As your internal memory is used up the phone will bog down. Being able to click an icon and kill all the apps running in the background is a good way to give a quick boost to speed. You can also set up task killers to kill tasks at certain intervals.

I usually see about 60-90mb of memory freed after I kill tasks.
