That's a good question. With all of my previous smartphones (Treo, Centro, Droid, Bionic) I encountered stability issues of freezing, crashing, rebooting - or needed to reboot them frequently to clear up weirdness. Not so with the S4, at least for me. I would like to see some enhancements. I have used launchers previously, but I'd like to avoid doing so on the S4 so it would be great to be able to crowd in a few more icons in the stock launcher. Would also like to have a faster method on the lock screen to mute and unmute. I know you can pull down and do it, but slider would be easier.
No I just see that the euro people are getting updates and was curious when ours would be OTA

No telling. If you want to be the guinie pig for us, here's what I would recommend:
Download and install OTA Root Keeper: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.projectvoodoo.otarootkeeper
Open the App and Make sure you make a backup of root.
Install the update and check for root.
If root is gone then attempt to restore with OTA Root Keeper.
Report what happened back to us here!

Don't get me wrong; I'm loving my S4 even more than I thought I would and even using TW which I thought I wouldn't. With that in mind, I'd love an update that would address the "gimmicks" (eye recognition mostly - scrolling web pages better and pausing vids, etc.) as well as improving the camera. It takes too long to focus indoors with a flash, IMO. The subject often gets up for a snack and then returns in time for the picture. LOL, not THAT bad, but it does need improvement. The only really good pictures I've taken are daytime outdoors and given the screen's performance in the sunlight, usually it's not "point and shoot" but "aim and hope and shoot".
Like I said this phone made me switch from Motorolas and it was well worth the switch.
Hoping the roll-out hits mine soon.

Just downloaded and installed the VZW new update OTA. Check "software updates" on the device and ask for a new check.

I did the update and don't see anythingdifferent, what was it supposed to do?

Finally got mine to download all the way. I know my S4 and Wireless router do not like talking on Channel 6 now! Swapped over to channel 1 and it finished the download with no problems. The install went fine. I can't think of any major issues that I needed or wanted to be corrected other than my wireless router one and I think I may have fixed that by switching the channel.
