How to block the new Gingerbread OTA update soon to be released????

why would you want to? gb is way better than froyo. and its rootable. why wouldnt you take it?

I known its better, but it wont be rootable untill they find a way, so i dont want to see the update icon on my notification bar till then

[ROOT] Droid 3 root instructions (One Click added for Windows/ Linux/ OSX)se this file

MotorolaOneClickRoot_psouza4.zip
easy a cake takes about 5 min

only problem with rooting is as of right now no way back. no sbf, no unroot.

You can SBF back to 2.3.20, and download the update to 2.3.3 again. It's a hassle, but it's possible.

yea maybe once the offical ota is out. as of right now its just a soak. im not sure if they allow you to download the soak more than once do they?

I'm not sure, but it'll probably be released to everyone within a week.
