new to forum but ancient droid user

good day all!
I am interested in geekin my D4!...
i had the Razr prior to the D4, I cracked the glass, they had no more Razrs in the store, they had to give me the next best thing on the spot!
Hence, I now own the D4...like it much better!
except I had just got the ICS update just 1 day before breaking my Razr.
now Im ass out!
I wish to attempt to lay in the ICS hack presented on this here neat site...
I have Rooted the D4 and have updated all the Moto driver files, but I am sketchy with the process...
Would any Guru's take the plunge with me to Idiot proof me through the process Please?
