new to droid from blackberry

Give it a chance. There's a big learning curve associated with the Droid and I assume the Incredible is about the same. Once you get the hang of it, you'll never look back. Oh, and welcome to the forum, nky5!

Seriously though, the android OS blows the BB OS out of the water. No comparison, if you ask me!

What apps are you looking for specifically? You'd be amazed at the amount of resources this forum has.

Ex Bb storm user here and i must say the android OS blows everything else out is the water! Love the dinc! I just wish the Android market had more specific search options like most downloaded today... this month... all time... etc you know?

I love my Droid, I just wish it would handle email like the blackberry. I want to be able to save emails to my phone and not loose them when I delete them from the company server.

I'm also a BlackBerry to Android convert (2 months now) and while overall I feel Android is a much better and easier OS there are certain stuff BlackBerry does much better than anyone (email, messaging, unified inbox, sound/LED/vibration profiles, etc.), however it's not enough for me to go back.dancedroid

BUT I'm still missing certain features from my BlackBerry and want something similar on my Droid:

- Ability to sync iTunes playlists w/ Album Art
- Quickly switching from English to Spanish for the onscreen keyboard
- Ability to save Email and SMS/MMS messages in a separate folder to view later
- Berry Buzz or something similar
- An app like Poynt

I am squeaky new (read yesterday) to Droid from 14 years of BB use.

So one cant save an email on a Droid? That sucks! :icon_eek:

Blackberry vs Droid

I haven't made the switch yet. I've used BB for years and have cold feet about the change. Any recommendations as to which Verizon Droid I should switch to?

As for iTunes album art. Try doublewist. Its in the market. It lets you sync with your iTunes and mine displays album artwork.
For messages you can use an app called sms backup and restore. Im not sure if titanium backup backs up emails. Someone else will have to chime in on that. Plus you have to be rooted for titanium.
You will love android though. I had an LG Dare and was up for my NE2 when the Droid 1 debuted. I was between the BB Tour and The Droid. My girlfriend had been a BB user and talked me into the Tour. My friend got the droid. I thought the BB was ok for a while but after about a month I became jealous of the droid. I waited a while and found one on craigslist. I can say I'll never go back. Droid Rules!
