This is my first android device so i am still learning lots. But I have several, seeeveral apps and services (Social networking, skype, google gtalk, sync) that i dont use (or in gase of gtalk and sync dont fully understand), and i can close manually each time, but cant get rid of without root.

Is there anyway to stop these permanently without root on the X?
And what exactly is this Google service? gmail? sync?

Google Service is all of the google products on the phone.

you cant stop auto restart apps with out rooting the devices or being SuperAdmin.

the only problem with rooting the X right now is the eFuse chip thats on the device.

its just a mater of time before someone bypasses the efuse chip and roots the device.

if you haven't already downloaded Advance task Killer i would.. i have it and it kills all the apps you want for a short period of time.

hope this helps.
