Galaxy Nexus users! There is soooo much development going on right now and so many Roms to choose from it can really make your head spin. This is a good thing though right! Well add one more to the list. Announcing CodenameAndroid Rom by developer "Codenameandroid"! This Rom is fully open source! If you are looking for a base to develop upon this is it. Just remember to give credit where it is due This Rom focuses on speed, usability, and getting every feature possible crammed in! This dev is so committed to growing the android dev community that he will even soon be posting tutorials on how to build android! That is exciting!

This Rom is built of the Android 4.0.3 Source from Google. It includes a custom launcher based on the Trebuchet launcher with added tweaks and mods. The Kernel is compiled from imoseyon's Lean Kernel. Features tons of custom goodies such as; Android Screen Candy/ Android Screen Savers, Reboot Menu with Hotboot restart, Pull down toggles with LTE toggle, Camera smooth zoom, NavBar customized, Customize your carrier label, Color clock options, Phone and Messaging on lock screen, decreased wait time for rotation, auto back light settings, Overclocking settings, voltage control settings, battery percentage settings, options for persistent menu button in navigation bar, and much more!

This Rom looks super slick and has lots of mods and tweaks that should keep you busy for hours! Lets support this Dev who wants to support the normal users ventures of developing!

Haha, I have the same issue. So far so good, this rom is very well built and is on par or better then Axi0m. Very smooth and no lag at all. Need to give it a few days to settle in and I will report back, but so far its great. Excellent customization options.

Starting running this yesterday, fantastic ROM! as stable as it gets and so many features! this is great compared to the slew of ROMs that are "lite" and offer nothing in the way of customization

There's many benifits from ROMS that are usually mentioned mentioned in the channel log of these threads or in key features if you read the page thoroughly. . Help with speed, battery, and more customization.

Go over to the ROM thread in the GN section and check it out. So far people (only a couple at this point) are reporting that it is great. Only bug anyone's reported is having to use the Set CPU app to change the cpu settings. According to the dev, there's going to be an update coming in a day or so. I might wait for that to flash.

I installed 1.0.1 yesterday and it is really fantastic. Haven't had much time to play with it but it is very smooth with tons of customization. This is my first ICS ROM so I don't know how it compares to the others out there but I'm very happy. I just downloaded 1.1.0 and will flash with the new gapps.
