So I had root and forever root with the new update on my old Bionic, had a few problems and got a new phone under warranty.
When I got the new phone the first thing I tried to do is root and forever root ( before running the update), didn't take. Re-set the phone with the one-click restore,
and tried again still nothing. Did a factory reset on the phone and tired the Droid 3 easy root and this is what I got:

PathSaver

I am working on a similar problem. I ran PathSaver according to the instructions today. It is updated to the correct current system (5.9.901), but root was lost in the process. I've tried releasedRoot and have not had any luck. Anyone else found a solution?

Having the same problem and I'm on a mac. The easy root isn't working with .893 and all the links to 4ever root (at least for mac) seem to be bad (or the site is down). I can't find a link to p3 exploit or any other options. Is there anything I can do?

Hello all!!! I am very much so a newbie to the droid world and I had someone root my first phone, Thunderbolt and now I have rooted one phone, an Evo 4G. I just got my Droid Bionic and have been going crazy trying to root it!!! I have tried using the Pete's Motorola Root Tools, R3l3As3Droot & Bionic Path Saver 1-Click Method. I've tried different versions of Pete's Tools and nothing is working. I keep getting errors like "ERROR: adb could not be granted root access via local.prop method" on the 3rd step every time and "cannot copy boomsh.:permission denied." I'm have updated my phone, unknowing that it would prevent me from rooting, to 5.5.893. I am computer literate on some things but this is not one section I'm savvy on. I would like some help, a step by step explanation on what to do. I am great at following steps and guides but nothing is working! I am asking for any assistance possible. PLEASE HELP!!!!
