There are several threads outlining the changes......setting menu now has color, upgrades to camera, some minor ui changes like the text message app, two new bloat, changes to motocast, and the biggest change of all is a significant improvement to the radios for data connectivity.

Just wait for the next ota to 174, it has virtually no noticeable changes.

Can't say I care for the new text message icon.

Handcent sms is still the best for text

One thing that reallllllly bugs mE and still continues to bug me is they changed the settings button location. At home screen when you press the menu button the little menu pops up with settings being on the right. But after the update they moved setting on the left side. So every time i go for settings I hit search instead. It will take some I'm to get use too. I also wanted them to redo the power widget that come with the phone. I wish they would allow it to be customized. So I use a third party widget. Also in the settings menu they changed the color of the icons and some of the logos. I liked it when it was one solid color. Now the settings menu looks a little tacky but that's my opinion.

Do you keep your phone on 4G all the time or do you switch back and forth?
My 4G connection is definently better. I'm getting better batter life now with 4G than I did before with 3G before.

I'm on 4G all day now. Its working great. I'm on Bluetooth, 4G, even some GPS when I need it and I'm getting great battery life. Better than all my previous Droids.

I love the new look! I'm guessing they're doing it to gear towards ICS .
my display is crisper and brighter now!
The entire experience our 40% snappier.
Hell, I may have just cut myself in my excitement, lol.

Watch out, I hear that with each upgrade, they are able to get a sharper honing of the RAZR's edges...

Negative..... did you not see my comment about the net update being 174? I am running 174 now. It will be the next update in about a month.

Common thought at this point is that .174 has been scrapped.

3G/4G handoff improved. Battery life improved. Icons themed. Compass working in Google Sky Maps and Google Maps. Google+ Hangouts audio working. Mobile hotspot now will allow all sites to be browsed. Reports of the phone being a little bit "snappier" by many. Camera slightly improved (was already improved last time, too). Some other stuff I forgot.

What else do you want from a mid-OS update? This was actually really a really nice update. You won't get anything huge until the next OS is released, and even then it's sometimes not a big deal (when my wife's GTab went from FroYo to Gingerbread, I had to let her know it was different :D ).

No. That makes no sense. It will be an ota in the near future. On 173 the search button in the application drawer cause a fc. This is addressed in 174 which is why it is a minor update. 174 was just built two weeks ago and every ota has been pushed about a month after the build date. It will be pushed....I can almost guarantee it.
