Hi I'm a Nubie,

Coming from a standard cell phone and a palm Tungsten. I've had my new Droid X for two weeks, got all my music, documents, contacts,and photos all synced up. So far I love the phone and no major issues. The only irritating issue is the pre loaded apps that keep starting up. like global swype. I put ATK on but it stops them and they restart. Read some info on playing with rooting but i don't think it is worth it. Talked to Motorola and I could not believe the only fix they have for issues that don't care to try and resolve is a hard reset. Which I know is a killer and won't fix it anyway. Look forward to being part of the forum.

Welcome to the Forum - it is known fact throughout the community that Task Killers are unneeded and cause more troubles than good - the Android O/S has a very good native task management process built right into the O/S and adding a third party application that claims to do the same just causes confusion within the system which will result in loss of performance and cause problems
