Welcome to Droid Forums. Sorry to say it has been a long time since I used a ROM for the Droid 1 so I do not know what is still in development or what works well. I am sure someone will be along who will be able to chime in on your question.

Its been 4 months since I used my OG, but back then the best ROM for me was ChevyNo1's Simply Stunning. Feature packed, customization galore, but I would recommend trying a few, the OG was really device specific as far as problems go. Some ROMs ran great on some phones and some not. For my phone it was Simply Stunning or Bugless Beast. However Bugless is a vanilla build, not too many extras, but it was STABLE as ****! Good luck, and have fun!!

I always like Chevy's ROMs as well...don't be afraid to try them all tho ...good luck on your quest!
