Also works as a jock support when judo chopped to the root (provided you hang low and favor whichever side you keep your phone in your pocket)

Hump facing away from your leg. Your screen is better protected when facing towards you because nothing can hit it.
Hump at the bottom. This way when you go to grab your phone from your pocket you already have it facing the right way!
These are experiences at least.

Definitely hump out and down so you can draw that blazing 4G speed like Clint Eastwood in the Outlaw Josie Wales (best western ever).

Actually, you'd want your screen facing in, to protect it as it's been said, but you'd want the hump at the top of your pocket, as it has more give(space) at the top of the pocket as apposed to the lower part, which will usually be tighter.

We've gone overboard here=P

I will say in a leather case on your hip!!! That is how I carried all of my phones...

Yea definitely on the hip! Between cigarettes, lighter, and the little change ill have left after buying it putting it in my pocket will be too bulky!
