Need Task Manager and News .apk's

Anybody have these? For some reason after installing Th3ory ROM I can't get either of these to restore with TiBU.

If they are system apps, you can't restore them on a new ROM

Above is stock task manager. Have to change permissions through root explorer. Check all "read" and only first "write", then reboot. Make sure to move the .apk to system/app before doing this btw.

Did that and got it moved there and permissions changed. Try to install and it still says "install unsuccessful"

Yes, like I said, if its a stock system app then it probably can't be installed on a custom ROM.

Correct. Stock apps aren't deodexed.

Do not click install...just change permissions as I stated and reboot the phone. I did exactly as you and lost the task manager, and now am using it just fine. Posts above saying you cannot install it are simply wrong.
