Need Quick Help

I'm obviously new here but don't take me for granted, I know a little bit about android devices. Moving on, I need some professional help from you guys solving my Tether problem. I've downloaded Barnacle, WiFi Tether for Root Users, FoxFi, and Steve's Mod and none seem to work for me. WiFi Tether used to at least broadcast a connection but my laptop wouldn't connect to it. I used Barnacle on my Thunderbolt but now, on my GS3 it doesn't work. I get the error WIFI: Could not set ad-hoc mode of wlan0: Operation not supported on transport endpoint. Then I get a dialogue box saying beaconing the network to no avail, I don't see it. FoxFi just looks like it's turning on the default hotspot, and Steve's mod just seems sketchy and I can't pick it up either. So please help me with my problem, asks questions if needed.

FoxFi - PDANet work on my unrooted GS3 and GS4. An error comes up making it look like it wants to turn on the hotspot but if you ignore the error it's actually working by that time.

I've actually noticed that. I am rooted by the way, I can get FoxFi to "work" but i'm not seeing the network on my laptop. Any ideas?

You also posted this in triplicate. That violates the forum guidelines. Please review them using the link below.

No idea why your laptop can't see the phone,

Edit: I've got my laptop to pick up FoxFi's broadcast but now my laptop says it can't connect, and now I don't even see FoxFi. I need serious help guys.

Yeah, can't double/triple post etc.. my bad. I can get it to see it after I re-install. But it can't connect. That's where I need help. "Windows cannot connect to network."
