Navigator direction help!

For reasons I don't know my navigator has changed. When using the GPS or maps the car orientation is pointed to the actual direction rather that "up". This makes it more confusing when approaching turns ect. I searched and tried tapping the compass icon but no change. Can anyone help?

Are you using VZ navigator or google maps? And just out of curiosity, if your using VZ navigator and have a droid, why aren't you using google navigator?

I did a test today on my Droid 3. When 'navigating' that is setting a start and end point, the display was always set so the up was the direction I was traveling, keeping left and right as expected. When I just had navigation open and did not set start and end point, it was just tracking my progress with "north" was always up and the blue dot moved in relation to 'north'.
