Naked Samsung Galaxy S3

Your talking a big chance going caseless with the S3. While it's a gorgeous phone without a case, all you have to do is a quick Google search to see all the people that have cracked screens from very small drops. While I love my S3, I won't go without a case. My wife dropped hers day two from knee height while sitting in a lawn chair and cracked the corner of hers.
Scratch resistant....Yeah, for the most part.
Crack resistant...not so much. :what:
Wrap that baby, or keep insurance on it. :D

Had my S3 since preorder and don't use a case or screen protector. I may put a case on it but I really like the thinness to go in my front pocket and I do have insurance. (yes, I've read the horror stories)

Previous to this I had the original galaxy S for 18 months and never needed a case. I started with a screen protector, but I disliked the feel, and it was gorilla glass which was supposed to be tough. Took off the screen protector after a month and never looked back.

I absolutely HATE cases and screen protectors. They always get in the way of the buttons, and the screen protectors are never as sensitive as the real thing even though people say they are. I've tried most of them.

I've dropped my S3 a couple times - no scratches, bumps or cracked screens.

It's only a matter of time. Then, you will become one of us.

Use protection. Please.

Sent from my used and abused SCH-I535.

I'm using the Trident Aegis. Adds just the right amount of "bulk" to the phone for me. Went without a case for a few days but the phone was too slippery.

never has cases on any phones... However there's a case all my friends use called Wrapsol that's super thin on the phone and has a 6ft drop protection AND is lifetime warranty! The catch about the lifetime warranty is you have to purchase it off the website www.wrapsol.com
Walmart is cheaper plus no s&h!

At the moment.. my S3 is naked. I have a screen protector but I have yet to find a case I like. I've got high hopes for the otterbox though.

I had mine naked for a couple of weeks when I first got it... now I use a Rubber TPU case I got on ebay for cheap. It doesn't add much to the bulk of the phone and should be sifficient protection if/when I drop it...

"Wrap it up B!!!"

The S3 is one of the few phones I've owned that I think actually feels better in hand with a thin case. Most of the time, I prefer the feel of a naked phone, but not with the S3. The Diztronic matte TPU case is by far my favorite case out there (and I used to hate TPU cases). The S3 feels great with it on, it adds very little bulk, and it offers some decent protection from falls.

This is the first phone i have ever had a case for. I have the S-Line case, and it is pretty minimal. I felt like the naked phone was just a bit to slick for me, and i didn't want to risk it sliding out of my hand or off my desk. If it had a textured battery cover, i would have probably left it naked, but to me it is just too slippery and not worth the risk.
Plus there have been a higher number of people than typical complaining about short drops and the thing still breaking, drops of less than four feet.

Pssshhhh, I spend 30 bucks on an otterbox case and although it'll survive drops from near all heights, it is super slick and uncomfortable to hold. I never had a case on my X, and dropped it a million times. For some reason though I don't feel that the gs3 will survive the same. I'll probably get rid of the otterbox soon and get a cheap rubberized case. No screen protector either.

Every forum I have ever been on there was always at least one "Question for the Ages" on this one it is "To case or not to case".

I have never met anyone who got down the road and said "Damn, I wish I hadn't put that darn case on".

On the other hand.......:icon_eek: As for the S3, I would whole heartedly say "Yes" to a case. I rock the INSIPIO which unlike my otterbox on my Maxx is very thin and unobtrusive. It is a two part soft/hard case and I am confident will ensure at least a chance of drop susrvival.
Cell phone drops are like Motor Cycles. Two types, Crashed and Haven't crashed Yet.
