My Headphones do not work with my phone

When I try to use my headphones with my droid it does not work. It plays in speaker mode. Is there a setting to allow headpones?

Mine quit working randomly one day until I found out there was some pocket lint in the bottom preventing the connection so I digg it out with a paperclip and it's worked great since...

No there is no setting. It night just be something in it

check the port for something in it. and while you are troubleshooting, check your headphones with something other than your phone.
