my droid razm M will not turn on

Hello, Last night my husband and i where using my phone than a few moments later it died and wont not turn on so i plugged it into a charger and got the red M and it just stayed and even when i go to turn it bank on it just acts as if its frozen. I have tried the power and the volume buttons together and nothing. I usually dont ever ask for help but my phone is the only way i can get a hold of my school and get a hold of my family. I would really appreciate it if someone can help me figure out what is going on with my phone. thanks so much. Linda

What happens when you plug it in? Also.. When it's plugged in, if you press a volume button. Does it show the battery charging?

Welcome aboard...do you remember what the battery percentage was when it died and was there a specific app you were using?
