Music stops when screen is off

hey this is my first post on the forum, and i just got my first smart phone yesterday and so far everything is working great except one thing. i like to listen to music when im working but when i have the screen off for longer than 2 min the song will automatically stop and when i press play again it will start the song over. ive tired other media players and it all does the same thing idk what to do. i have juice defender and even when i disable it the problem still occurs. anyone have any ideas?

go to the applications manager, your music app is timing out when the screen times out. disable the auto-end feature

Sorry to sound like a noob but I can't find the auto-end feature
In manage applications

go into task manager (the application) and make sure gallery and music are not in the auto end list. if you are running a task killer (like advanced task killer) make sure music and gallery are ignored.

i had the same problem when i first got the phone.
