Multitasking question

I heard from a customer that the iphone 4 for Verizon can make calls and browse the internets. I used to be able to on my DX but I think after the latest update. The 2.3.340 one. I can't. Has anyone else had this happen or recognized this as a problem?

you can surf and talk on the DX, but only over wifi.

3g/1X data and cdma voice never worked together.

Idk why people undervalue that capability. its extremely convenient to use data while on a phone call.
One example off the top of my head, if you need to use gps to drive somewhere, and either you need to make a call or someone calls you, data immediately gets cut off and gps won't work.

I agree, people don't think about the convenience before stating that it doesn't make sense.

I have been on my cell while discussing a bill and needed the internet to look at my online statement.

No one is saying the feature is absolutely necessary, just that it is useful to have it when needed.

Yeah I had the same problem was trying to look an address up for my friend and wasn't able to cause I was on the phone. It is quite useful. Oh well maybe in the near future? Lol
