Mp3 player rom/os for droid 2

I would Like to take my old Droid 2 that is not activated anymore and make an MP3 player out of it. I would like to completely wipe the Android OS from the phone and put a new MP3 player OS/ROM or whatever on it. Anyone know if this is possible? If so, written step by step instructions and/or video instructions would be appreciated.

Welcome to Droid Forums!! You don't necessarily need to "remove" the Android OS, you could just disable your data connection and then use as an MP3 player that way.
